American Idol in Big Apple

American Idol goes to New York to find the next American Idol.

Thousands of wannabes and gonnabes auditioned hoping to get a ticket to Hollywood for the second round. The Guest Judge was Carole Bayer Sager, a New Yorker lyricist, songwriter and singer best-known for writing the lyrics to many popular songs performed on Broadway and in Hollywood films. She received the Grammy Award for Song of the Year in 1987 for the her song "That's What Friends Are For".

The audition started hilariously when Ian Benardo open his huge mouth and sang “Gloria”. This confident big mouth Ian was certain about himself of becoming the next American Idol which obviously not. He was really pissed off when all of the four judges say no. There is also a girl named Sarah Burgess a 19-year-old who’s parent are against of her passion to join the AI competition, but when she started to sing, she wow the four judges and gave her the ticket to Hollywood. I think they where touched by her story about her father not believing in her capacity to be the next sing sensation idol. But Simon still as rude as he was, even Paula wanted to bit him up while in the middle of the audition of this Simon look-a-like guy. I wonder why American Idol put Simon as judge when in fact he is originally a British National.

Still the AI audition is the same as it was, you will laugh so hard when you see some hilarious wannabes and this is my favorite part of the competition, the audition.

The most popular piece on this leg of the AI audition is the song “Gloria”
