The Phenomenon Philippine Idol Is On

Last Sunday the most awaiting phenomenon begins, The Philippine Idol, where thousand of hopefuls from all over the country try their luck to audition for the said competition.

The sole host Ryan Agoncillo looks good and confident for his new hosting career at ABC, I don’t think there is pressure on Ryan being the host of the show since he is almost a veteran in Philippine TV hosting, so, he shouldn’t have to imitate American Idol’s host Ryan Seacrest since Ryan Agoncillo has his own style and fashion in hosting.

By the way, I was wrong about my previous posting about Philippine Idol says that the judges will compose of Mr. Ryan Cayabyab a composer and Musician, Lea Salonga an international stage actress and singer and the Concert King, Mr. Martin Nievera. But it was just a rumor on that time, last Sunday the three judges were introduced and they are Ryan Cayabyab (musical composer), Pilita Corrales (singer, known as Asia's Queen of Songs) and Francis Magalona (rapper and producer) are confirmed as the judges of the show. The Judges are fine for me; they have the authority on choosing the Philippine Idol. But I think they’re making Mr. Ryan Cayabyab as “Simon Cowell” of the Philippine Idol. He also said last Sunday that he is trying to keep the monster inside of him. I just hope he will, but by having like a Simon Cowell on the show is fun for me as an audience of the show but as a contestant I don’t think its kind of fun idea. I don’t wanna hear Simon’s cruel intentions on letting down those poor contestants.

How I wish having guts like they (the contestants) have, I see the confidence on them as they auditioned for the contest. But everytime I see someone crying or frowning when they come out of the door, I felt scared to try and that make me don’t want to try to audition for any contest. Anyway, I am not that good on singing but by trying what you want will help you achieve what you want.

Congratulations to those who made it for the second round of the Philippine Idol. I know we will have the best 1st Philippine Idol this year, I know there are lot of potentials in the auditions and we can have a Philippine Idol that is worth an American Idol and even a World Idol and Jasmine Trias can prove that. Iba ang Pinoy eh!!!
